Housekeeping Attendant

Job Description:

La Quinta at Santa Cruz California has an opening position for Housekeeping Attendant to join our team. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will be responsible for cleaning guest rooms and responding to guest requests in continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Major responsibilities include:

• Clean assigned guest rooms, including, but not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Wipe and dust windows, doors, walls, fixtures, headboards, baseboards, and public areas.
• Remove soil, dirt, soap build-up, and hair from the shower area, toilets, and stall walls. Wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sinks, and walls to have clean and sanitary guest and public restrooms.
• Replaces towels, soaps, and all room amenities and restocks literature removed by previous guests, or is soiled or torn, to ensure adequate supply for arriving guests.
• Straighten up the bed and turn down in three-fold style, place sham in closet, replace pillows, and place room amenities in the proper place.
• Inform supervisor/manager of any room damage, damaged or stolen items, or special cleaning needed for guest rooms.
• Remove and transfer Items left by the previous guest to the housekeeping department.
• Ensure carts and storerooms are restocked in a clean and orderly fashion to enhance efficiency and ease.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
• Actively participate in achieving a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is preferred; additional languages are beneficial.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Simple grasping of objects of less than 5 pounds daily.
• Ability to push, carry, lift or pull items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.75 per hour

Shift:

• 8 hour shift
